Iranian Hackers Claim Breach of FBI Director Kash Patel’s Email

Washington D.C.: A group called “Handala” from Iran says they broke into the FBI director’s personal email. They put some pictures of him when he was younger on their website. They also shared a collection of files that look like they came from his Gmail account.

The FBI knows about this and is taking action to keep things safe. They say the information is old and does not have any government secrets in it. The FBI is offering rewards of up to $10 million for help in finding the hackers.

TechCrunch checked some of the leaked emails and found they were real. The emails have special codes that prove they came from Patel’s account. Some emails from 2014 show he sent messages between his Justice Department account and Gmail.

The leaked files go up to about 2019. Since fighting between Israel and Iran started, Handala has been doing more hacking. They claim to have attacked a big medical company, damaging many computers. They also shared personal information about people they say work in Israel’s military.
