Apple Reportedly Testing Four Designs for Upcoming Smart Glasses

Cupertino: Apple is testing four designs for its first smart glasses that will come out in 2027. The company might show them to people at the end of this year.

The glasses will not have any screens, but they will work with Apple’s helper called Siri. People can take photos and videos with them. They can also answer phone calls, play music, and use other features.

Apple is testing two shapes for the glasses: rectangle and oval. They are checking big and small sizes of each shape. The company also wants to make the glasses in different colors like black, dark blue, and light brown.

These simple glasses are different from Apple’s earlier plans that were more complex. Before, Apple wanted to make special glasses with displays for mixed reality. Those plans had problems and their expensive Vision Pro headset did not sell well.

The new Apple glasses work more like Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses. The company is also working on a better version of Siri to work with these glasses.
