Claude services face major disruption as users report login problems; company works to fix issues
New York: Anthropic faced a big problem on Monday morning. Many users could not use Claude services. The company says the Claude API still works.
Users saw errors when they tried to log in to Claude.ai and Claude Code. A company page said the problem is with logging in and out of Claude.ai. The company has not said what caused the problem yet.
The company knows about the issue and is trying to fix it. This happened after more people started using Claude recently. The app became popular last weekend and even went above ChatGPT in the App Store charts.
President Donald Trump told government agencies last week to stop using Anthropic products. This was because of a fight with the Department of Defense about safeguards. The Pentagon worried that Anthropic’s AI models could be used for watching people at home or for weapons that work on their own.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said he would call Anthropic a supply-chain threat. But Anthropic says it has not gotten any official notices about this.
