Apple Launches $599 MacBook Neo with Bright Colors

Apple has launched a new low-cost laptop called the MacBook Neo that starts at $599. This is Apple’s cheapest laptop ever.
CUPERTINO, California: After showing off new phones and tablets, Apple now has a small laptop for people who want to spend less money. It costs only $599 to start. That’s cheaper than any MacBook before.
People can pick from four fun colors: Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus. These colors look like old Apple computers from years ago. The laptop weighs 2.7 pounds and is half an inch thick.
The screen is big at 12.9 inches. It can get very bright at 500 nits and shows clear pictures. The camera is 1080p like most laptops. You can unlock it with your fingerprint on the $699 version that has more storage.
Apple used a special chip from the iPhone 16 Pro inside this laptop. It should work faster than many other cheap computers. The battery lasts up to 16 hours which is good for most days.
Some things are simpler to keep the price low. The keyboard doesn’t light up like on expensive MacBooks. There are only two USB-C ports instead of more. You can’t plug in as many screens. But for $599, this gives many people their first chance to buy a new Apple laptop.
