San Francisco: Google announced on Thursday that its Live Translate feature is coming to iPhones and more countries. This feature uses AI to translate speech right in your headphones.
Before, Live Translate only worked on Android phones in the United States, India, and Mexico. Now Apple users can use it too. People in many countries like the United Kingdom, Japan, France and others can also try it.
The feature works with any headphones to give real-time translations. You can hear the translation while keeping the speaker’s tone and voice style. More than 70 languages are supported.
To use Live Translate, open the Google Translate app and tap the Live Translate button. Then connect your headphones. The tool can help you talk with relatives who speak other languages. It can also help when traveling by translating train announcements.
Google made this announcement on the same day it shared news about expanding another tool called Search Live. That feature uses your phone camera to give real-time help with what you see.
