Hollywood Stars Demand ByteDance Stop Seedance 2.0 Video Theft

New York: Big movie companies are angry about a new computer tool called Seedance 2.0. This tool makes videos from written words. People in Hollywood say it copies their movies and characters without asking.

Hollywood groups want ByteDance to stop using their work in Seedance 2.0. They say the tool breaks copyright rules that protect movies and TV shows. Many actors and writers are worried that AI might take their jobs.

Some videos made with Seedance 2.0 show famous characters like Spiderman, Darth Vader, and Baby Yoda. Disney sent a legal letter saying this is like stealing. Paramount movie studio also sent a legal warning letter. They say the tool makes videos that look just like their movies.

Mr. Charles Rivkin, who leads the Motion Picture Association, said ByteDance must stop the copying right away. He says this protects the people who make movies. ByteDance has not said anything about these problems yet.
