Hollywood: Many movies about smart computers have failed this year. People are getting tired of seeing robots and AI in films.
Big films like M3GAN did well at first. But its next movie and others about AI did not make much money. Even Mission: Impossible made movies with evil computers that did not do as well as hoped.
One new movie called Mercy had Chris Pratt as a cop who must prove he did nothing wrong to a robot judge. People did not like it much. The story ends with Pratt saying humans and computers both make mistakes and both can learn.
Some people think showing AI only as scary but then good is wrong. Old movies like RoboCop were better at showing how sad things could get if computers took over. Now Time Studios made a web show about 1776 using Google’s AI, which has made some people upset.
