To stay safe, Apple recommends updating your device to the latest version of iOS. If you cannot update right away, you can turn on a feature called Lockdown Mode, which provides extra protection against these types of attacks. This dangerous situation shows how powerful hacking tools can spread beyond their original users and put many people at risk.
