The MacBook Neo is made for students or people who don’t need very powerful computers. The 13-inch laptop comes in four colors: silver, blush, citrus, and indigo. The basic model costs $599 and has 256GB of storage. For $699 you get 512GB of storage and Touch ID.
Apple can sell this laptop cheaply because it uses the A18 Pro chip from iPhone 16 Pro models instead of the more powerful M5 chip in MacBook Air. The A18 Pro chip makes the computer fast for normal tasks like web browsing and photo editing. It can handle AI tasks without needing internet connection.
The laptop has a good camera for video calls, two speakers that work with Apple’s Spatial Audio feature, and a battery that lasts up to 16 hours.
