RFK Jr. Promotes More Protein While Grok-Website Advises Moderation

Washington, DC: Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wants Americans to eat more protein. The FDA recently updated dietary guidelines to suggest 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight daily. A new government website called Realfood.gov promotes steak and animal products, declaring “We are ending the war on protein.”

A 30-second Super Bowl ad paid for by the nonprofit MAHA Center featured boxing legend Mike Tyson. The ad encouraged viewers to avoid processed foods and visit Realfood.gov. Secretary Kennedy helped promote this government website, which offers new dietary guidelines and uses Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok to answer food questions.

The website tells people to “prioritize protein at every meal.” Secretary Kennedy has spoken about the benefits of meat protein at large cattle trade shows. At one event, he told the crowd “beef is back on the menu.” Meanwhile, doctors say most Americans already eat enough protein. Nutritionists suggest exercise, not just protein, builds muscle.
