SpaceX has asked the government to approve launching 1 million solar satellites to help AI computing and support plans for multi-planet living.

San Francisco: SpaceX wants to launch one million satellites in space. These satellites will get power from the sun. They will work as data centers for artificial intelligence or AI.
The company says these satellites are needed because AI needs lots of computer power. They also help with plans to live on other planets some day. The satellites might make SpaceX a very advanced civilization.
Experts think the government may not approve one million satellites right away. The number might start talks with officials. Many satellites already orbit Earth, about fifteen thousand, and they cause pollution in space.
Other companies want permission too. Amazon needs more time to launch its satellites because good rockets are not available. SpaceX wants to combine with its sister companies Tesla and xAI.
