Suunto upgrades to an AMOLED display with the Vertical 2, but at a cost to battery life.

Suunto Vertical 2: The watch has big buttons that are easy to find and press. The rubber band is stretchy and stays on your wrist well. A bright LED light on the front can be set to different modes for emergencies.
The biggest change is the new 1.5-inch color screen that replaces the old black and white one. This new screen uses more battery power than the previous one. The watch now lasts about 10 days less than before when used normally.
Even with the new screen, the battery lasts a long time for most activities. After two hours of GPS tracking in the best setting, the battery only dropped by a small amount. The watch also keeps its charge well when not being used.
The watch has fewer smart features to save battery. It won’t show phone notifications if paired with an iPhone. There’s no music player inside, but you can control music playback during activities.
