TikTok is introducing new ad formats that will make ads more noticeable and potentially annoying for users.

New York: TikTok is making its ads bigger and more noticeable with three new ad formats. These changes mean you’ll see more ads when you use the app.
The first new ad is called “Logo Takeover.” When you open TikTok, you might see another company’s logo next to TikTok’s logo. TikTok says this helps companies work together with them to get your attention.
Another new ad is called “Prime Time.” With this one, you could see three ads from the same company in just 15 minutes. These ads would show up one after another during busy times on the app.
The third new ad combines two things that are already there. When you open the app and when you scroll through your feed, you’ll see ads in both places mixed together.
Some people might find these new ads annoying because they show up right away when you open the app. Others might not like seeing three ads from the same company so quickly. But TikTok says these ads aren’t interruptions – they’re joining conversations people are already having.
TikTok also added two new ways for companies to put their ads next to the right content. One shows ads when people are talking about a company. The other puts ads next to popular creators’ videos.
