Explore the best action cameras of 2026, highlighting those that excel in image stabilization and quality.

Once you get an action camera, you’re ready for adventures. Brands like GoPro, Insta360, and DJI offer mounts for your helmet or chest. There are useful extras that can help you capture great shots.
A good microSD card is important. Some cameras come with SD cards, but I prefer SanDisk’s Extreme cards. They work fast and are waterproof, costing around $70 for 512GB. Samsung’s Pro Plus cards are also detailed and priced around $96 for a 256GB card. DJI recommends specific microSD cards for their Action 6 model, but Lexar’s Professional Silver Plus ($24) is my favorite.
You can also improve sound with the GoPro Media Mod for $79. The built-in sound isn’t great, but connecting a good microphone really helps. Just make sure not to use it while skydiving!
If you love biking, check out the handlebar mount for $40. It works great for bikes and ski poles. For motorcyclists, the accessory bundle for $50 is a secure clamp for Insta360 cameras.
To help mount your action camera, Yallsame offers a $10 tripod mount adapter. This will help if your camera doesn’t have a standard screw mount.
If you shoot near water or glass, consider getting polarizer and ND filters. These help reduce glare and control light, so your videos look better. The new GoPro ND filter Four-Pack ($90) is perfect for Hero 13, while DJI’s ND filter set costs $79 for Action 6.
Don’t forget a floaty for $35 to keep your camera from sinking underwater. The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 floaty is available for $20.
Lastly, a selfie stick for $25 is handy for capturing photos. The Insta360 stick is lightweight and easy to store. If you want something bigger, the Insta360 Extended Edition ($100) works great like a drone for national parks.
