Amazon’s spring sale offers deals on Kindles including the Scribe, Colorsoft, and basic model under $100.
Portland: I have an older Kindle Scribe that I still use even though I own the newer third generation model. The older one is on sale for half the price of the newer one. The second generation model will also get some new software features over time so you will not miss out on much.
Seattle: If you already use a Kindle and want to upgrade you might want a color screen. Both the Kindle Colorsoft and Colorsoft Signature are on sale right now. Kobo makes a better color e-reader but if you want to stay with Kindle these are good options.
San Francisco: If you want to spend as little as possible the basic Kindle from 2024 is under $100. This 11th generation model can do almost everything the more expensive Kindles can do except for a few features. It has a black and white screen that works well and while it does not have a warm light it is still a great choice for the price.
