Kristi Noem Out as Homeland Security Chief Amid Rising Controversies

Washington DC: Secretary Kristi Noem has been removed as head of the Department of Homeland Security after months of growing problems.

President Trump announced Noem would leave her job Thursday on his social media site. She will now be the Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas instead. The new job focuses on security in the Western Hemisphere.

The change comes amid months of tension and trouble at Homeland Security. People have pointed out many issues during Noem’s time leading the department. Critics have been unhappy with how aggressively her team handled immigration enforcement.

Noem has faced several big issues. In Minneapolis, two people died during federal operations. Noem’s team called them “domestic terrorists” but videos and investigations showed different facts. An investigation found one person she shot didn’t even have a gun.

Another problem was Secret Policy. Documents showed ICE agents could now force entry into homes without permission like the Bill of Rights says. Agents even seized an American citizen by gunpoint during a mistake at home in Minnesota. The agency has also implemented a
money program worth $38 billion to build prison for people waiting for deportation.

At FEMA Noem’s crew has Octtop side by last any contracts over $100,000 Her approval process has created big pileups because thousands of contracts money has been waiting for her sign of. FEMA workers say this has made harder for them ready respond to disasters.
