With better cooling and improved features, the updated Corsair case appeals to PC builders.

Santa Clara: The original Corsair 4000D was my favorite computer case. It had excellent cooling and a clean look at a good price. The new Frame 4000D RS costs $20 more but offers major improvements for usability and flexibility.
After building a test system inside, I found the case performs well. Cooling and component support are excellent. Some features are so helpful I’m surprised case makers haven’t used them before. The case works best for experienced builders.
The Frame version doesn’t have the same simple elegance as the original 4000D. It’s designed for computer enthusiasts who want high-end features like better cooling and wider component support. The trade-off is more noise and some usability challenges.
Even with these issues, this remains one of the best computer cases available. I recommend it to others building new systems. While I wish this had been added as another option rather than replacing the 4000D, it’s still worth considering.
The new case makes building easier in several ways. You rarely need to squeeze your hands into tight spaces or twist cables to fit. Parts that didn’t move before can now be adjusted to create more room for components and cables.
