The group started as a YouTube channel in 2025 but didn’t become popular until they began making Lego-inspired videos about the war in February. They use AI tools to write scripts and create the videos, though they won’t say which specific tools they use. The Lego style makes complicated political situations easier to understand for many viewers.
Someone from Explosive Media told reporters they were ready with content in case Trump backed down, which they expected would happen. In one video, a Lego Trump figure sits holding a peace plan and eating a taco, which refers to people saying “Trump always chickens out.” Some critics think the group might work with Iran’s government, but the team says they’re just young activists who understand American culture well.
People seem to prefer these simpler Lego videos over real war footage on social media. A researcher who studies online content from Iran says these videos work well because they explain things in an easy-to-understand way. Iran has used Lego-style videos for propaganda before, but Explosive Media’s content appears more polished and professional than previous attempts.
