The FBI Didn’t Answer Texts From Minnesota Investigators for Days After Renee Good’s Killing

Minneapolis: On January 7, federal immigration officer Jonathan Ross shot and killed Renee Good at around 9:37 am. That same day, a Minnesota investigator texted an FBI agent asking for help with the case.

But the FBI did not reply for at least two days. The Minnesota investigator sent text messages asking to join interviews and see evidence. The FBI agent only sent one message that morning, most of which was hidden.

The investigator then asked if they could talk later when things calmed down. Protesters gathered near the shooting scene that day. Minnesota officials later sued federal agencies because they could not get the evidence they needed.
