Google says it has fixed Gmail problems with email misclassification and spam warnings users faced last Saturday.

New York: Google announced that it has fixed issues affecting Gmail on Saturday. Many users faced problems where their emails were not sorted correctly. Some emails were showing up in the Primary inbox instead of the Promotions, Social, or Updates tabs.
People shared on social media that spam messages were going directly to their inbox, making it hard to find important emails. This misclassification started around 5 am Pacific and affected many Gmail users throughout the day.
According to Google, they worked all day to solve the problem. By Saturday evening, they confirmed it was fixed for everyone. They mentioned that some spam warnings from before might still show up in older emails. Google also plans to share more details about the issue once their internal review is complete.
