The new Toy Story 5 movie features toys battling an evil AI tablet that listens to everything

Boston: Toy Story 5 shows Woody and Buzz fighting against a smart tablet called Lilypad that steals children’s attention.
The movie trailer shows a little girl named Bonnie getting a package with the Lilypad inside. She becomes so focused on the screen that she does not hear her parents when they tell her that screen time is over.
One of the toys named Jessie tries to talk to the tablet about Bonnie’s well-being. The Lilypad responds by saying “I’m always listening” in a scary computerized voice. Then it repeats Jessie’s words and translates them into Spanish.
The toys worry that technology is taking over their home. Jessie tells Woody “I’m losing Bonnie to this device.” Woody explains that toys are for play but tech is for everything.
This movie might help children think about spending too much time on screens. It gives them something fun to watch instead of shows that do not make them think much.
