Former CISA Director Jen Easterly Takes the Helm at RSAC Conference Leadership

New York: Jen Easterly has been named the CEO of RSAC Conference. She used to lead the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, called CISA, for over three years. RSAC, which stands for RSA Conference, is a major event where cybersecurity experts gather. It started in 1991 as a small meeting for cryptography but has grown a lot. Now, it hosts many events for cybersecurity professionals throughout the year, with a big conference in San Francisco each spring.

Easterly says the RSAC Conference is very important. She wants to make it a year-round community for cyber experts. She aims to help new companies grow, especially those using artificial intelligence (AI) for cybersecurity. This is an exciting time because technology is changing quickly, and security experts need to keep up with these changes.

She has a strong background in cybersecurity and has worked for many important organizations. She served in the US Army and worked for the National Security Agency, helping start US Cyber Command, and spent time as Morgan Stanley’s global cybersecurity leader before joining CISA in 2021.

Collaboration and trust are very important to Easterly in her career. However, she didn’t stay at CISA during the leadership change at the end of 2024 because of how politics changed. Despite this, she says she will lead RSAC with positivity and believes in the power of working together.
