Canva’s AI assistant now uses multiple tools to create designs automatically, helping users save time and streamline their creative workflow.

Melbourne: Canva’s AI assistant now has enhanced abilities to call different tools and create designs automatically for you. The system can now plan tasks and use the right tools to make editable designs based on what you describe. Users simply type what they want, and the AI creates several design options with layers so you can easily make changes later.
Canva’s co-founder Cliff Obrecht says while many companies try to combine different tools, most businesses prefer to finish their work in Canva. The assistant works well with Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI, but customers still need Canva’s human-centered features. These include tools for editing, working together with others, and publishing content.
The company recently added links to popular apps like Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, and Zoom. The AI can now search the internet for research and schedule tasks to run automatically in the background. Canva has also made existing tools faster and cheaper. Their image-creation system works five times faster and costs much less to operate than before.
