Online ticket marketplace StubHub will pay $10 million to settle FTC allegations it misled customers about total ticket prices.

StubHub: An online ticket marketplace agreed to pay 10 million dollars to settle Federal Trade Commission claims about unclear pricing.
The Federal Trade Commission said StubHub did not clearly show the full ticket cost on its website. The company advertised prices without showing mandatory fees upfront. On May 14, 2025, the government sent StubHub a warning letter. StubHub fixed the problem the next day.
The 10 million dollars will pay customers back for extra fees they paid. StubHub said it supports showing all costs to fans. The company said only a few transactions were affected – just three days in May 2025. A company spokesperson said they disagree with the government’s view.
The Federal Trade Commission has taken action against other ticket companies too. Last September, they sued Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation. The government says these companies used illegal tactics to sell tickets at higher prices. The agency wants all ticket marketplaces to clearly show full prices to customers.
